BREAKING NEWS: SARAKI APPOINTS HAKEEM BABA AHMED AS CHIEF OF STAFF.

The Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, has appointed a former permanent secretary in the Federal Civil Service, Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, as his new Chief of Staff.
In a statement by his special adviser (Media and  Publicity), Yusuph Olaniyonu, late this night, Saraki said the appointment takes immediate effect.
Baba-Ahmed, 61, was educated at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, London School of Economics and University of Sussex, both in the United Kingdom. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree.
A consummate public servant and intellectual, he started his working career as a lecturer with the  then University of Sokoto now known as Usman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto,  before joining the Kaduna State Civil Service. He later transferred his service to the Federal Civil Service where he rose to become permanent secretary.

Play up Nigeria’s positive values, Buhari tells Ambassadors-designate

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday charged the Ambassadors-designate, who were recently cleared by the Senate, to change the narrative of Nigeria as seen by the outside world. President Buhari gave the assurance on Monday in Abuja while declaring open an induction course organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Nigerian Career Ambassadors-designate. The Ambassadors-designate were recently cleared by the Senate. He specifically charged the Ambassadors-designate to change the narrative of Nigeria outside the country by playing up the positive values and outstanding contributions of Nigerians in the global arena.
