The deputy Governor in charge of operations at the central Bank of Nigeria Mr Adebayo Adelabu has resigned. It will take effect from July 15, 2018.President Buhari has formally accepted the disengagement of the Deputy Governor in charge of operations at the Central Bank of Nigeria starting from July 15,2018.Other management team of the CBN might resign any minute from now as President Buhar will soon announce a new team.

The senate has confirmed four of the five nominees named as non executive directors of the board of Central Bank of Nigeria.the confirmed nominees are ummu jalingo ,justitia odinakachukwu,mike obadan and Adeola Adetunji.Abdu Abubakar was rejected.the list of new management team of the CBN will go to the senate any minute from now and would be cleared on or before the 11th of June .

A former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Monday paid a visit to the leaders of the pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere, at the residence of the leader of the group, Pa Reuben Fasoranti in Akure, Ondo State. The meeting, which lasted for almost 30 minutes, had the former President calling for the cooperation of the group to save Nigeria from collapsing. Speaking during the visit, Obasanjo commended the Afenifere for being at the forefront of fighting for the interest of the Yoruba nation while he was working towards the interest of the country as a whole, noting that the two parties were working towards the same goals of fostering unity among the people of the country but on a different pedestal. Barely 24 hours after he announced his withdrawal as a defence lawyer to a former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Mr. Olisa Metuh, Mr. Emeka Etiaba (SAN), has re-appeared in the case Tuesday morning. Although Metuh, who collapsed during the Monday’s proceedings, is absent from the ongoing court session, Etiaba announced himself as the lawyer to the ex-spokesperson for the PDP. Etiaba had withdrawn from the case Monday after the judge insisted that the trial must continue after Metuh’s fall in court. But the judge, Justice Okon Abang, had overruled Etiaba’s application to withdraw from the case, saying it was an attempt to delay the case. ‎Insisting that he had withdrawn from the case, Etiaba refused to answer further questions asked by the judge even after the ruling dismissing his application for withdrawal from the case. The judge, however, adjourned the case till Tuesday after the court’s medical official said Metuh needed to see his doctor. Metuh
