– The Nigerian Senate has embarrassed the presidency with a rather strange decision – The Senate dropped a nominee of President Muhammadu Buhari already cleared twelve days ago – The nominee is Chief Okoi Ofem Obono-Obla A report by our source indicates that the Nigerian Senate has dropped a nominee for the post of a non-executive commissioner on the governing board of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), after clearing him. The nominee, Chief Okoi Ofem Obono-Obla from Cross River state was one of the nominees sent to the upper chamber by President Muhammadu Buhari before the Senate made a dramatic turn.
