Saraki’s main interest has always been to remain in power; he never had nation’s interest at heart - Oshiomhole

APC’s national chairman, Oshiomhole, said Senator Saraki has never had the nation’s interest at heart

- He said the Senate’s president’s main interest has always been to remain in power

- Oshiomhole said Saraki’s quest for power was the reason why he reportedly connived with PDP senators to emerge Senate president

The national chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, said the president of the Senate, Dr Bukola Saraki, never acted in the nation’s interest as he claimed.

Oshiomhole stated this on Friday, August 10, in Abuja at a news conference, and said that Saraki had always been concerned about his personal interest and how he would remain in power, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.

“The president of the Senate raised the issue that he had always acted not on the bases of his own personal interest, but on national interest.

“The truth is that it is doubtful if he has ever acted either on national interest or in the interest of his own political party before his recent defection,” he said.
